Author Guidelines

Medicine Science (Med-Science) publishes Original Articles on clinical and experimental research related to any area of medicine. Editorials, letter to the Editor, Review articles, Case reports and technical note on clinical observations may also be considered. By submitting a manuscript to this journal, authors accept that their manuscript may be screened for plagiarism against previously published works.

Policy of screening for plagiarism: The manuscripts are scanned by the Publisher’s Office using the iThenticate program for determination of plagiarism and non-ethical situations.

The corresponding author will receive an e-mail that informs the status of manuscript at any step of reviewing and publishing process. Medicine Science (Med-Science) now offers Accepted Articles for all articles within a short time of acceptance. All process will be completed within one or two months from the receiving of submitted manuscript.

Publication in this journal is totally FREE (No publication fees), as one of the main goals of the journal is to provide global researchers with a free publishing platform.

Open Access and Commons User Licenses

Open Access
The Medicine Science (Med-Science) is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI ( definition of open access.

Commons User Licenses 
Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) For non-commercial purposes, lets others distribute and copy the article, and to include in a collective work, as long as they credit the author(s) and provided they do not alter or modify the article.

Accepted Articles

Accepted Articles should be designed by the authors. Designed Articles are published in online issue without having been copy-edited. Medicine Science (Med-Science) cannot be held responsible for errors or consequences arising from the use of information contained in these articles; nor do the views and opinions.

Accepted Articles appear in PDF-only format, without the accompanying full-text HTML.

Ethical Guidelines

Submission is considered on the conditions that papers are previously unpublished, and are not offered simultaneously elsewhere; that authors have read and approved the content, and all authors have also declared all competing interests; and that the work complies with the Ethical Approval and has been conducted under internationally accepted ethical standards.To verify the originality of content submitted to our journals, we use iThenticate to check submissions against previous publications.

Submission of manuscripts

All manuscripts should be written in English or Turkish language and prepared in Microsoft Word format. Language editing should also be appropriate for an academic journal. Tables, figures and pictures should be embedded in appropriate part of manuscript.  The SI system must be used. To be considered for publication the author should also provide suggestions for at least two reviewers.  Our journal now use an online submission and peer review system in ScopeMed ( This can bring a number of advantages to authors, referees, the editorial office and the publishing process in general. In publication or citation search, the name similarities of the authors, typographical errors and institutional changes can cause confusion. To prevent this, researchers need to obtain a descriptive ID. ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a researcher-specific international URI with a 16-digit number. You can register for free for individual ORCID at Please indicate the ORCID number of all authors when submitting your article.

Cover letter

Corresponding author must give signed consent to publication in a covering letter including the following information.
(i) A statement that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere, and that, if accepted in Medicine Science (Med-Science), will not be republished in any other journal in the same or similar form. Written permission must be obtained from the copyright holder for reproduction of figures published elsewhere.
(ii) A statement of financial or other relationships that might lead to a conflict of interest.
(iii) A statement that the manuscript has been read and approved by all authors.


When manuscript is submitted to Medicine Science, the author(s) grant(s) to the Publisher exclusive first publication rights in web site and press, and further grant(s) a non-exclusive license for other uses of the Work for the duration of its copyright in all languages, throughout the world, in all media. The Publisher shall include a notice in the Work saying “© [Author’s Name]. Readers of this article may copy it without the copyright owner’s permission, if the author and publisher are acknowledged in the copy and copy is used for educational, not-for-profit purposes.”

Prior to acceptance all articles undergo peer-review process and will be accepted or rejected based on their own merit.

All pages (including references, tables and their captions, figure captions and [where possible] figures) should be saved in a single electronic file.

The manuscript should include the following: (i) title page, (ii) abstract, (iii) main text (introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion), (iv) references, (v) figure legends, (vi) tables, (vii) figures.

Title page

The first page should contain: title of paper, suggested running headline of not more than 30 characters (including both letters and spaces) and author’s name, department, institution, city and country.  Authors that work different department or center should be indicated by superscript numbers. The title page should carry the name and address of the author to whom correspondence. Telephone and fax numbers (as well as an e-mail address if available) should also be given. The corresponding author will receive an email alert containing a link to a web site. A working e-mail address must therefore be provided for the corresponding author.



Abstract word count must be  between 150 and 250.. The subtitles are not needed. But, it should be covered;


Give a short information about the studied topics and clear statement of the main aim of the study and the main hypothesis


Describe the setting of the study.

Abstract in English is necessary for manuscript written in Turkish.


Give the main results of the study.



State the primary conclusions of the study and their clinical implications. Suggest areas for further research, if appropriate.


The authors have to list at least three, but no more than six keywords below the abstract. Preferably use terms from the ‘Medical Subject Headings’ ( list from Index Medicus. If manuscript is written in Turkish, it is recommended to select the keywords from ‘Türkiye Bilim Terimleri’ (


Human and Animal Rights Statement

When reporting experiments on human subjects, authors should indicate whether the procedures followed were in accordance with the ethical standards of the responsible committee on human experimentation (institutional and national) and with the Helsinki Declaration. If doubt exists whether the research was conducted in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration, the authors must explain the reason for their approach, and demonstrate that the institutional review body explicitly approved the doubtful aspects of the study. When reporting experiments on animals, authors should be asked to indicate whether the institutional and national guide for the care and use of laboratory animals was followed.


Ethical considerations

Ethical approval by the local ethical authority should be indicated in the ‘Material and methods’ section for human and experimental studies.


Financial support, technical and other assistance of importance for the study may be acknowledged before references.


Number references consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text. Identify references in text, tables and captions by Arabic numerals in [square] brackets. Use the references form adopted by the US National Library of Medicine. Titles of journals should be abbreviated according to the style used in Index Medicus. In the list, reference can be made by only published or accepted articles.

Number of references must be truncated by 15, 30 and 40 references for case report, original investigation and review article, respectively.

Rapid Communication

Concise papers (not exceeding 1500 words) representing new but completed work which is of unusually high priority and significance, as clearly indicated by the authors in the covering letter, will be considered as Rapid communications. Papers will be reviewed immediately and publication should occur within 4 weeks of acceptance of the manuscript, with a few exceptions.
